What is the Crestron TSS-770-B-S-LB KIT?

Introducing the Crestron TSS-770-B-S-LB KIT

The Crestron TSS-770-B-S-LB KIT is a single order code covering two devices: the TSS-770 room scheduling touch screen (7-inch) and the TSW-770-LB-B-S status light bar. It belongs to the Crestron Workspace Solutions group, in the TSS-70 Series alongside the TSS-770 (7-inch) and the TSS-1070 (10.1-inch).

The TSS-770 shares its hardware platform with the TSW-770 control touch screen, but it is a dedicated scheduling model. The kit comes in two colors, black (B-S) and white (TSS-770-W-S-LB KIT, with the TSW-770-LB-W-S light bar), with identical specifications.

Crestron has introduced a successor model, the TSS-880-B / TSS-880-W, an 8.1-inch panel with a light bar built into both sides.

How it works

The TSS-770 works in three steps: input, processing and output.

Input: the room calendar from a scheduling service over the network, touch input, the proximity sensor and (optionally) a CEN-ODT-C-POE occupancy sensor.
Processing: the panel runs one scheduling app selected during setup. The app is downloaded from the cloud and checks for updates every night.
Output: the panel shows the room status and the day's bookings and lets people book on the spot. The light bar receives commands through a USB port: green when free, red when booked.

Role of the TSS-770 in a meeting room system

The TSS-770 stands alone at the room door. It does not connect to a Crestron control processor and cannot be programmed. Connection layout:

Main path: a PoE (Power over Ethernet, power delivered over the network cable) switch connects to the TSS-770 with one LAN cable, and the TSS-770 then reaches the Internet to fetch the calendar from the scheduling service.
USB port 1: light bar. USB port 2 (optional): RFID-USB card reader.
Optional: a CEN-ODT-C-POE occupancy sensor in the room and XiO Cloud for remote management.

The TSS-770 and TSW-770 are easy to confuse, but they play different roles (AV: audio-visual equipment):

Features and integration of the TSS-770-B-S-LB KIT

Key features

Complete kit under one order code. The panel and the light bar ship under one code, so quotes for many rooms do not end up missing the status light. Each room needs only one line item, which keeps orders easy to check.

180° light bar, green / red. The light mixes RGB colors in 1% steps and flashes when Crestron Fusion sends an emergency alert. As a result, people walking down the corridor can see from a distance whether a room is free or busy, without walking up to read the screen.

7" 1280 × 800 display, 5-point touch, proximity sensor. The screen adjusts its brightness automatically, which keeps it from staying fully lit when nobody is using it, and wakes when someone approaches.

Book on the spot (ad hoc). Pair it with a CEN-ODT-C-POE occupancy sensor to detect rooms that are booked but unused (no-shows), which reduces rooms being held and left empty. The calendar then reflects actual usage. Note: 25Live and Ad Astra do not support ad hoc booking.

Three levels of interface customization. Adjust settings in the web interface, change the background image and logo, or edit the source code with the SDK (software development kit). The default interface does not carry your organization's visual identity, so customization gives every room door the same colors and logo.

Enterprise network security. Supports 802.1X, TLS, HTTPS and Active Directory, meeting the requirements of banks and offices with strict network policies, where every device must pass internal rules. Your IT team can therefore manage the TSS-770 like any other network device.

Where the TSS-770 fits

Small meeting rooms, huddle rooms and medium meeting rooms: the 7" screen is enough to show the day's bookings.
Narrow corridors: the panel and light bar assembly protrudes only 20 mm from the wall.
Offices with many shared meeting rooms: free rooms can be spotted from a distance.

For rooms whose schedule needs to be read from further away, consider the TSS-1070 10.1-inch room scheduling panel.

Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms and calendar platform compatibility

Microsoft Teams: "Crestron TSS-770" is listed in the catalog of Teams panels certified by Microsoft (Microsoft Learn, updated 10/2026). This is a certification as a Teams scheduling panel, not as a Microsoft Teams Rooms console. The B-S kit does not run Teams by default: during setup, select the "Microsoft Teams Scheduling Panels" app and sign in with a Teams account.

Zoom Rooms: the TSS-770 supports the Zoom Rooms app for room scheduling and control, which requires a Zoom Rooms subscription.

Crestron Scheduling: connects to Crestron Fusion, Microsoft Exchange / Office 365, Google Calendar, CollegeNET 25Live and Ad Astra.

Third-party apps: around 28 apps such as Robin, Appspace, EMS, Teem, Matrix Booking and Envoy. The panel runs one app at a time, and third-party apps may require their own subscription.

Integration with the Crestron ecosystem

Crestron Fusion (cloud or on-premises), XiO Cloud, the CEN-ODT-C-POE sensor and the RFID-USB card reader.
SSW/SSC hallway signs can be used instead of the light bar, because each panel accepts only one light bar or one indicator.
Bluetooth beacon for the Crestron Go App: phones recognize which room they are in.

Setup, configuration and remote management

Plug in the PoE network cable, select the app on the screen or through the web interface, then enter the room account. The process requires no programming.

The IT team updates firmware through XiO Cloud and monitors the panels over SNMP (a network device monitoring protocol). Light bar colors are set in the web interface or in Crestron Fusion. Wi-Fi 802.11ac is used where no wired network port is available (Ethernet must be disabled before Wi-Fi can be configured), but power still comes from PoE.

⚠️ Mounting depth: with the light bar attached, the minimum mounting depth is 41 mm (panel alone: 35 mm) and the assembly protrudes 20 mm from the wall. Check the wall box before choosing a mounting bracket.

Site survey and deployment

Can the kit run on a standard PoE (802.3af) switch?

Yes. The 7-inch kit runs both the panel and the light bar on standard PoE (802.3af) or PoE+ (802.3at). This differs from the 10.1-inch version, where the TSS-1070 kit requires PoE+ when the light bar is attached. No PoE power source is included in the box.

Can the TSS-770 be mounted on a glass wall or a meeting room door?

Yes. The TSW-770/1070-MUMK kit is for glass wall frames, while the TSW-770-MSMK and TSW-770/1070-MSMK-ANG kits are for flat or angled surfaces such as room doors. The minimum mounting depth is 41 mm with the light bar. DSG confirms the right mounting kit during the site survey.
